Courtney Jarrell

Courtney Jarrell is a freelance artist currently living and producing work in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her BFA in painting from Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her work focuses on the complexities of human emotions and how they translate to our lives. Working mainly in oil  or ceramic sculpture her compositions juxtapose reality with abstraction. She has recieved numerous awards for her work including the Paul W. Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship (for excellence in painting), the Joseph L. Van Sickle Scholarship, The Herron Portfolio Scholarship, and the Psi Iota Xi Scholarship. Jarrell's work can be found on permanent display in Bru restaurant and 45Degrees restaurant in downtown Indianapolis.
